MORE THAN A WHISKY
Welcome to Jura. A few miles off the west coast of Scotland you´ll find our island; remote, sometimes wild, yet always beautiful. Home to roughly 212 islanders, one road, one pub, one whisky distillery. An island devoted to whisky. Since 1810 this unique island malt has been our greatest endeavour and our greatest reward, it´s creation the heart of an unbreakable bond between our island, our people and our whisky.
Jura Journey Single Malt Scotch Whisky
It’s the journey, not the destination that shapes us. The path from our foundation to the revival of our distillery in 1963 has shaped the vibrant character of our tiny island community and the whisky we make.
This perfect marriage of Jura and hand selected American white oak ex bourbon casks results in notes of creamy vanilla, pecan pie and a touch of soft cinnamon and fresh pear. The ideal starting place to explore our Jura range.
Jura 10 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky
A whisky only Jura could make, born of our island and still produced today in a bottle originally shaped to withstand the roughest of journeys from our home. Crafted in exceptionally tall stills and matured for 10 years in American White Oak ex bourbon barrels.
The finishing touch is a finish in the finest aged Oloroso Sherry casks from Jerez, Spain. A sweet, smooth whisky with flavours of rich dark chocolate and vanilla cream throughout.
Jura 12 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky
This is Jura at its most intense and muscular, yet it remains an approachable whisky that makes the perfect accompaniment to a gathering. That’s how our tiny island community enjoys it.
Bourbon cask maturation and an aged sherry finish produce a honeyed sweetness that offers notes of warm spice, banana, soft citrus and a finish of freshly ground coffee and dark chocolate.
Jura Seven Wood Single Malt Scotch Whisky
The ability of Jura’s tiny island community to reimagine and reinvent has allowed our distillery to thrive. Such vision has brought to life this complex Single Malt Scotch Whisky.
Layers of complexity and flavour emerge from a maturation journey that begins in American White Oak ex bourbon casks before a portion of the whisky is split between six different virgin oak casks sourced from across various regions of France.
The result is a fruity and spicy whisky with flavours of crème caramel, baked peach and sweet liquorice.
